About Me
Hi my name is Troy Rawsthorn. I've always been crazy about classic cars. I can remember going to watch Disney Pixar's "Cars" at the cinema when I was 4yrs old. Ever since, I've been playing racing games, driving cars and photographing everything I can at shows and museums all over the world. I photograph every kind of car from American muscle, to delicate Italian sports cars, to sophisticated Japanese JDMs. I photograph classic cars from WW2 era up until 2000.
I truly believe that classic cars have a soul. They have an elegance and a beauty that modern cars seem to have lost. Someone told me once that cars cannot be art...I disagree. Some people photograph people or landscapes because of their beauty. So I photograph cars. My goal is to document as many classic cars as I can before they go extinct.
